Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw are, as most golf aficionados know, two of the game’s premier course designers. Together, they use the land’s greatest strengths by emphasizing strategic, rather than penal concepts — a trademark approach that has earned them a reputation for exceptional quality via simplicity of design. It’s rare that this highly sought after team chooses to develop one of their signature golf courses in a residential community.

Many times it can be difficult to marry the two. But Coore and Crenshaw had never crafted a course in Florida before, and after viewing first-hand the unique topography of Sugarloaf Mountain, they just couldn’t resist making it their first.
