Sugarloaf Mountain

In the rolling hills west of Orlando, an extraordinary new residential community is taking shape. Built upon the highest elevation in the peninsula, Sugarloaf Mountain offers residents amazing views of Lake Apopka Coore & Crenshaw golf course in the state. Adding to the allure is the Green Mountain Scenic Highway that runs right through the most unique private club community in Central Florida.

Florida is famous for world-class golf with many courses created by well-known designers, but one thing it’s never had is a Coore & Crenshaw designed golf course – until now. The well-respected team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw have created their first ever golf course in the state at Sugarloaf Mountain. Carefully sculpted to follow the natural features of the land, this new course offers 18 holes of one of the finest golfing experiences you will ever have.

Sugarloaf Mountain 15 Behind Ground

Every Sugarloaf Mountain resident will be a Town Club member and our plan is to allow all residents the opportunity for Full Golf Memberships. As a member of The Golf Club at Sugarloaf Mountain, this incredible course can be yours to play whenever you like. Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw are, as most golf aficionados know, two of the game’s premier course designers. Together, they use the land’s greatest strengths by emphasizing strategic, rather than penal concepts — a trademark approach that has earned them a reputation for exceptional quality via simplicity of design. It’s rare that this highly sought after team chooses to develop one of their signature golf courses in a residential community.

Many times it can be difficult to marry the two. But Coore and Crenshaw had never crafted a course in Florida before, and after viewing first-hand the unique topography of Sugarloaf Mountain, they just couldn’t resist making it their first.
